How your children view you when you’ve been drinking
This chilling new anti-drinking commercial is being shown in Finland and depicts terrified children living in a world full of monsters, which turn out to be their parents. It’s well-done.
If you are an alcoholic, you may also be a monster to your children and others around you. Get some help for yourself before you scare them off completely.
Fragile Childhood activities are designed to encourage people to participate anonymously in discussion and to share their thoughts about responsible parental drinking on a dedicated platform: http://www.facebook.com/lasinenlapsuus

Monday Music Rewind: Alice Cooper – Years Ago / Steven
This is a song from my past that has always haunted me. I was too young at the time this song was released (1975) to understand it’s meaning. All I knew was that the lyrics and the music accompaniment were creepy. Nonetheless, I would sit take the album from my older brothers collection of rock music and listen to it. I was drawn into the story.
There is a lot of misinformation about the song “Steven” and the album “Welcome to my nightmare.” Rumors have circulated that Alice Cooper (real name Vincent Damon Furnier) was molested by his father and left at a carnival, while others claim it’s about a father that kills his baby.
What we do know is that Welcome to My Nightmare was a concept album; the songs, heard in sequence, form a journey through the nightmares of a child named Steven. You cannot make sense of the song “Steven” without hearing the other songs in succession. This album shows why Alice Cooper was a master storyteller.
The best description of the song I found was this: The song is an exploration inside the mind of a man (Steven) who is stuck psychologically at the age of a little boy (“I’m a little boy, No I’m a great big man”), due to some trauma (“all my toys are broken, and so am I inside, mom”). The song Steven is the “nightmare” he experiencesas he comes to terms with his past. As for dying (I don’t want to feel you die”), I think this is Steven dealing with the past. Young Steven has to “die” so that the trauma can be dealt with and adult Steven can move on.

Richest lead singers
Paul McCartney named world’s richest lead singer ($800 million in net worth) – Bono is second ($600 million) on the list followed by Jimmy Buffet ($400 million), Elton John ($320 million), and Mick Jagger ($305 million).
I am surprised at Jimmy Buffet. I knew the dude was rich, but figured others would be ahead of him. $400 million will buy you a lot of Cheeseburgers in Paradise.

How’s that Arab Spring working out for you?
Hundreds of protesters chanting “Death to America” stormed the U.S. Embassy compound in Sanna, Yemen on Thursday. The protesters then burned the U.S. flag.
The Obama administration will provide Yemen $337 million in aid in the 2012 fiscal year, up from $147 million provided in the previous fiscal year.
Billions more in aid has been given to middle eastern countries by this administration and the last.
Is giving billions in aid to Arab countries a good use of our tax money when they want “Death to America” and murder people trying to help them?
By the way, here is the video that outraged these idiots. My review of it is two thumbs down. The plot line is weak and the director of photography should be fired. Don’t see it in theaters. Wait for it on Redbox.
