How 3 film students worked on the “Priest” movie trailer

Three students from London’s Westminster film school were tasked with producing a movie trailer for “Priest” in 3D overnight. They had to fly to Los Angeles the next day and present their work to the Director and other studio execs. Pretty impressive. Watch the process here.

I think it’s great that Taco Bell didn’t cower with the threat of a lawsuit regarding the quality of their beef. Instead, they fought back and defended their company and their food. Fast food is under attack in this country. Just look here, and here, and here. Taco Bell is one of the few that has the guts to fight back.

Four really good LEGO ads

Here is a well-executed print campaign for LEGO. These four ads beautifully convey the power of a child’s imagination. Will all of the technology and gadgets we have today, none of them can compare to what the mind can create. I hope we never lose toys like LEGO.

The new ‘Harry Potter’ and the Deathly Hallows poster

Here is a look at the new ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’ poster. The final showdown between Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his nemesis Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) looks to be a good one. The movie opens on July 15th in 2D and 3D.

Sexist retro advertising

I think we have come a long way in terms of gender equality in the U.S. If you want some proof of that, take a looksie at the sexism in these vintage advertisments. (via)
