Photos of actor Tom Hanks posing with a fan pretending to be drunk have inspired a flood of celebrity-encounter stories on Reddit. (imgur.com)

From CBC news: A now-viral set of photos posted to imgur.com Sunday afternoon show the Academy award-winning actor with one seemingly intoxicated young fan at a restaurant.

Hanks is shown pointing, laughing, and putting his own glasses on the ‘drunk’ guy, who ends up face down in front of some pizza.

No location or further context was given by post’s author, but as entertainment blog ScreenCrush points out, Hank’s Twitter feed shows that he was on vacation in Fargo, North Dakota last week.

“My friend met Tom Hanks, stole his glasses and pretended to be wasted,” reads the headline of a post on Reddit linking to the images, which have already been viewed more than 800,000 times. Story via.

New documentary about the Amityville Horror house

“The Amityville Horror” scared the living bejesus out of us in 1979, but what was it like living in the home that inspired the movie? A new documentary called “My Amityville Horror” tells the story of former resident Danny Lutz, who moved into the house at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York, in 1975.

In this Yahoo! article, he describes — with no trace of uncertainty — being spiritually and emotionally abused by phantoms during his four-week residence at the house. He also describes witnessing his stepfather, George, apparently the No. 1 target of the “presence,” moving objects with his mind (practicing telekinesis) in the garage.
