From Examiner: Stephen King has been planning to write a prequel to “The Shining” called “Dr. Sleep,” which follows little Danny Torrance as an adult. The entire purpose is to delve into demons that use people with The Shining to get into our world. Word came on July 30 that Warner Bros. also wants to revisit the story with a “Shining” prequel, about what happened in the Overlook Hotel before Jack Torrance tried to kill his family there.
The source, who remained nameless because they were not supposed to talk about it, said the studio has asked writer-producer Laeta Kalogridis (“Shutter Island”) and her partners Bradley Fischer and James Vanderbilt to work on a new story for the prequel.

Fred Willard was arrested for lewd conduct last night in Hollywood when police allegedly caught him with his pants down wailing away in an adult movie theater.
TMZ is reporting that LAPD undercover vice officers went into the Tiki Theater in Hollywood and found the 78-year-old “Anchorman” star watching last night’s feature …with his penis exposed and in his hand.
A Tweet from @thecajunboy said it best. “Fred Willard getting arrested for jacking it in a theater is the ugly side of old people hating the internet. This could’ve been avoided.”
