Terrifying military paratrooping exercise caught on tape

Terrifying military paratrooping exercise caught on tape. I seriously hope this wasn’t his first jump (I’m guessing it was his last). Watch how it ends below.
Military paratrooper snafu

At 0:54 he gives a thumbs up. Upon release at 1:36 he immediately moves his free arm out to control his descent, as trained. He keeps his hands cupped and still at the beginning because he is using airflow to stop himself from spinning.

Remember when Tyson bit off Holyfield’s ear?

On this day back in 1997, Mike Tyson bit a chunk off of Evander Holyfield’s ear during a boxing match. I remember watching this match on pay-per-view at a friends house. We were stoked for this match-up. Everyone was. The incident led to Tyson being disqualified. He was a punk for doing what he did, but I’d never say that to his face. The entire fight is on YouTube now if you want to watch it. Watching these two stare at each other before the match (about 4:30) is terrifying.

I didn’t know this until today, but the two boxers had a face-to-face meeting in 2009 on a live episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” They hugged it out.

So, how much would would someone have to pay you to step into the ring and fight Mike Tyson in his prime? This was a popular question raised among friends back in the day and my answer stands. I would do it for $2 million dollars and go down on a jab.

Defacing magazines

When I saw this, it made me laugh. I used to love defacing magazines when I was a kid. Remember getting the TV guide in the newspaper on Sundays? I used to draw all over that thing. With every publication going digital, the small joys in life like this die. Too bad. (via 9GAG)

Pigeons problems

Seems that pigeons have been a nuisance since the beginning of time. Here is a photo from the Los Angeles Times dated Jan. 17, 1956. It shows how feeding pigeons decided to put their stamp of approval on a freshly poured sidewalk. Bummer. (via Black and WTF)

Seagull ganks a video camera

This is a strangely interesting video of a seagull that steals a GoPro camera. Good execution of a viral video, so I have no problem sharing their site with you. They specialize in wearable digital cameras that can be found here. (via Bag of Nothing)
