Frozen Ghost Vodka

Frozen Ghost Vodka
Frozen Ghost Vodka, The Supernatural Super Premium Vodka

Frozen Ghost Vodka, the “Supernatural Super-Premium Vodka”, not only has the spookiest vodka packaging around but also a chilling backstory. Here’s an excerpt:

Generations ago, a family in Western Canada had a proud but small farm. They raised crops and livestock so plentifully, they outproduced all the other farms in the colony. Soon, people began to realize that the spring that watered their land was the sweetest and purest in the area and was thought to be the source of their success…

Tobias’s body was later discovered in the ice that froze the pond deep on that frigid winter night…

Incredible wingsuit flying video

I recommend watching the whole video, but skip to 1:15 if you want to see a terrifying close call. I have jumped out of a plane before, but there is no way I could do this. I wonder if these wingsuits have a military application? Could you imagine flying through a combat zone in one of these? Talk about the element of surprise!

Marlins-Reds Game Attendance Hits Sad Low of 347 Fans

If you didn’t know better, you might guess that someone called in a bomb threat before last night’s game at Sun Life Stadium. The Florida Marlins rank dead last in total attendance this season and second-to-last in attendance percentage, ahead of only Toronto. The unofficial count of 347 was after the first pitch, but I am assuming everyone in the seats did their own counting and got about the same number. The money collected likely didn’t pay to run the scoreboard.

I understand that this was a rescheduled game, but is that really an excuse for this low of a turn out? This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this with the Marlins either. Is it time to contract?

You could likely hear the umpire call strikes from these seats last night. (AP Photo/Hans Deryk)

MMA knockouts viewed in slow motion make me wonder if this sport should be legal.

The Ambassador of Aliens

After a sighting of alien life forms in the 90s, Jody Pendarvis built a giant 30-foot UFO in his front yard as a place to welcome aliens when they return. His story is a combination of childlike curiosity, crazy, and sad all rolled into one. If there is alien life out there that plans to visit Earth, I hope they drop in on Mr. Pendarvis first. Watch it here.

John Stewart bashes the media over Ron Paul

John Stewart takes on the corporate media machine over their blatant exclusion of Ron Paul from news reports. Of course, this is nothing new. Ron Paul and his ideas for helping this country have been largely ignored by the left and right for years. They treat him like a crazy uncle and dismiss his ideas until the public steps up enough times to echo him. Then, and only then, do candidates jump on the bandwagon (like auditing the Fed) and claim the idea as their own.

The bottom line is this. You have no real say in who “wins” a GOP/DFL nomination for President. Ron Paul’s only chance now is to run as an Independent. What you can do as a voter is write in Ron Paul (or your favorite choice) on the ballot and hope that it sends a message that you know the Presidential elections are skillfully orchestrated. Or, you could decide not to participate in the vote at all, which is also within your right. This might send an even stronger message.

The haunting sound of a meteor recorded in space

The U.S. Air Force Space Surveillance Radar in Texas recorded echoes of the Perseid Meteors as they passed over the monitoring facility. Includes imagery of a meteor photographed by astronaut Ron Garan aboard the International Space Station.

I don’t know why, but it scares the bejeezus out of me.
