POLL: Who are you voting for tomorrow?

POLL: Who are you voting for tomorrow?

Tomorrow marks the end of what seems to be the longest Presidential campaign in history. I cannot wait to have this over with. I want my television commercials back to selling beer and new movies.

I am curious to see where the readers of Duck Duck Gray Duck are at. Take my anonymous poll and see where you stand with others.

Ron Paul fact

Ron Paul Ron Paul is one of the more under-reported stories of the Republican pre-primary season. The Texas Congressman has won more straw polls than any other GOP candidate. In fact, Ron Paul has won more straw polls than Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann combined.

He may not be a very good off-the-cuff speaker, but watch this video and tell me if you think he couldn’t speak well for the United States as President.

Political musings

Taylor Garrett is a cast member of the gay reality TV show “A-List Dallas”

If you are gay, GLAAD and the left will defend you. Not if you are a Republican though. Read this story about how reality TV show star Taylor Garrett gets a beat down and vandalized because he’s a gay conservative associated with commentator Ann Coulter.

Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) identified several celebrities receiving farm subsidies whose professions had nothing to do with farming or agriculture. Did you know Jon Bon Jovi paid property taxes of only $100 last year on his extensive real estate holdings in New Jersey that he uses to raise bees? He’s not alone. Bruce Springsteen, Ted Turner, Quincy Jones and others are collecting too. Is it right? I don’t know, but it does make me cringe a bit. I won’t fault people (even celebrities) for taking advantage of loopholes that are in place. If we as a society think it’s wrong, then we need to change the laws I guess. See story.

Rapper Jay-Z loves the Occupy Wall Street movement and is making some good money off a new line of Rocawear branded OWS T-shirts (see story). At this time, he has not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement. I think it’s great that he is demonstrating entreprenurial skills. Good for him.

leonardo-dicaprio-J-EdgarAnyone else tired of seeing Leo take on these “older” roles? He has such a baby face, I can’t usually take him seriously when he plays really mature roles. I don’t know if I’ll see the new Hoover movie because of this. Plus, I don’t think I can look past that terrible make-up job. I do like Eastwood though. Hmmm, what to do?
