The New Bizarre Ad For Old Spice

To a teenager there’s nothing worse than having your mother creep into your social life. Yet, that’s exactly what a group of moms does in this new Old Spice ad called Momsong. In the ad, the moms break into song and lament the fact their little boys are turning into grown men. Mothers emerge from behind closed doors, from the sky, in a laundry basket dragging behind a car, from underneath couch cushions and from behind creepy looking janitor masks.

It’s equal parts Exorcist and tacky Japanese film making. Whatever it is, it will leave you asking “WTF did I just watch?”

The ad debuted last Friday and already has over one million views on YouTube.

The spot includes Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield hugging it out, Dennis Rodman flying to North Korea and not coming back, Brett Favre poking fun at his flip-flopping, and a hilarious cameo from Craig Sager.

Banned 90s LUNCHABLEZ commercial

Appealing to youth has been an important part of marketing and advertising for decades. It’s no longer just the parents making the buying decisions. Children and teens have influence over their parents, particularly when it comes to selecting lunch products.

This video spoof takes a look at a “commercial” that never aired when it was “made” in 1996. There’s a valid reason why it wasn’t made public until now. NSFW.
