As we get ready for the summer, all 30 teams in the NBA will be looking to make improvements. However, some teams are going to have more flexibility than others. There are a few teams severely crippled by some questionable contracts in the NBA right now. Even with the salary cap scheduled to skyrocket in the next few years, there are still some guys who are extremely overpaid compared to what kind of numbers they put up in daily fantasy NBA. Here is a look at three of the top ones.

Kobe Bryant

Before fans get upset, no one is denying that Bryant is one of the best to ever lace them up. Right now, he is a major hindrance for the Lakers as they try to become relevant again. He is making way too much money for a guy who can barely stay on the floor. Thanks to his hefty contract, which ends next year, Los Angeles is going to be locked out of having much maneuverability in the summer. He sells tickets, but performance wise, he’s the most overpaid player in the game today.

Derrick Rose

Rose is still young enough that he could regain an All-Star level of play for the Chicago Bulls. With that being said, the Bulls are pretty worried that they have built their team around an extremely fragile player. Chicago has built a very solid defensive unit, and at times they are just fine without Rose on the floor. However, this team is never getting over the hump until he can play nearly every single night at a high level.

Deron Williams

In reality, Joe Johnson could be in this spot as well for the Brooklyn Nets, as they are overpaying for two veterans who are no longer playing at a high level. Williams is someone who was once considered one of the very best point guard in the NBA. Injury issues started to pile up, and he lost most of his explosiveness. Until these guys come off the books, Brooklyn is not going to be competing in the Eastern conference like they were hoping.
