Ferris Bueller’s Super Bowl Ad

This commercial will air during the Super Bowl and is directed by The Hangover’s Todd Philips. The commercial is for a 2012 Honda CR-V. Broderick is shown reprising his classic role as Bueller playing hooky, this time from his Hollywood career of appearing in an unspecified movie.

Think you’re a true fan of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? They hid over two dozen references to the movie throughout the commercial. Some are obvious, some are VERY subtle. How many did you find?

J. Edgar Hoover gave Shirley Temple a fountain pen that emitted tear gas

Shirley Temple–Hollywood’s most famous child star–could not be protected from such real-life intrusions as kidnap and extortion attempts, death threats and an attempted seduction by a Hollywood producer when she was only 12 years old. The threats weren’t reported at the time, she said, for fear that they would stimulate more threats.

The FBI was called in numerous times to investigate these death and extortion threats against her. She and J Edgar Hoover became friends through it all. In 1949, J. Edgar Hoover gave Shirley Temple a strange FBI souvenir– a fountain pen that emitted tear gas.

Shirley Temple’s autobiography.

You’re welcome in advance for the daymares

A feline organist and an incredibly creepy man offer a rendition of ‘Jesus Loves Me’ that might even give David Lynch nightmares. This video is from a creepy segment of the old Andy’s Gang show. You’re welcome in advance for the daymares.
