Mark Wahlberg talks about his Catholic faith

Mark Wahlberg is a Roman Catholic who goes to church every day to pray to be a better servant of God, and to try to be a better man.

Refreshing to hear a Hollywood star open up like this while so many of his peers speak of Christianity with such vitriol.

Mark Wahlberg movies here.

The Great Boston Molasses Flood

Today in strangeness – The Great Boston Molasses Flood happened on January 15th, 1919. A large tank burst and 2.3 million gallons of molasses barreled out in a 30 ft. wave leaving 21 dead and 150 injured. Witnesses stated that as it collapsed, there was a loud rumbling sound, like a machine gun as the rivets shot out of the tank, and that the ground shook as if a train were passing by. Holy nightmare.

Some residents claim that on a hot summer day the area still smells of molasses.

Considering the phrase “slow as molasses,” how could these people not outrun the seeping spill?

TSA collects $400,000 in loose change annually

TSA collects $400,000 in loose change annuallyThe Transportation Security Administration says they’ve collected about $400,000 in abandoned change from passengers emptying their pockets through security checkpoints.

Unclaimed money is documented and turned into the TSA financial office. The airport receiving the most change from the TSA was New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport whose passengers in 2010 abandoned $46,918.06.

This puts my change jar to shame.
