HBO to launch streaming service to those without cable in 2015

HBO Go

The media company confirmed it will launch a standalone service for streaming its programs starting in 2015 that will not require a cable subscription. It is unclear what they will charge subscribers at this time, but chances are it will be in line with what current subscribers of cable pay so they do not undercut their own existing TV deals. 

HBO’s move in this direction will be watched closely by the other networks who are probably going to follow them. 

Let the cord cutting begin.
