Improv Everywhere put a Carnegie Hall orchestra in the middle of New York City and placed an empty podium in front of the musicians with a sign that read, “Conduct Us.” Random New Yorkers who accepted the challenge were given the opportunity to conduct this world-class orchestra. The orchestra responded to the conductors, altering their tempo and performance accordingly. This project was a collaboration with Carnegie Hall and Ensemble ACJW.

The song Baby Blue by Badfinger seems like it was written just for Walt doesn’t it? Although it appeared in Martin Scorsese’s The Departed in 2006, it’s obscure compared to classic-rock Badfinger fixtures such as “No Matter What” and “Come and Get It.” That is likely to change – the song’s Spotify streams jumped 9,000 percent in the first 11 hours after the Breaking Bad finale, and iTunes sold 5,000 copies Sunday night, according to Billboard, when it has never sold more than 1,000 in a week.

There is a secret tiny one-room museum tucked away in a NYC freight elevator. The items on display range from the shoe thrown at President George Bush to a collection of items confiscated from prison inmates. Though the museum is only open occasionally, the objects within are always visible through the transparent doors of the elevator. Viewers can also call a toll-free number and punch in another set of digits (each object on display has its own extension) to get information about each curio. via
