The vaccine debate

There are a lot of parents out there who refuse to vaccinate their kids. Jenny McCarthy and others are claiming with no proof that many of the childhood vaccines we usually give our kids are causing autism or other medical problems. It’s too bad, because these kids are getting sick. Some are dying.

Here is an infographic that shows the rate of incidence of a disease appearing with and without a vaccine. Here is the source of the data.

  3. Autism Mom Praying In The Storm

My mother had polio as a child, so I know vaccines are important. My son has autism, and if I could go back, I would space out his vaccines. You have to be wise about it. Check out Safeminds, a group who advocates for safer vaccines. If someone has a bad reaction from a vaccine, their one recourse is to go to Vaccine Court, which rarely pays out anything and the drug companies are immune, so money is a big factor. While my children have had all their vaccines, I opted out of the HPV vaccine for my daughter, which is too new and has too many complications. Decide what is right for your child. There are too many new vaccines coming out, and I think money is the main reason, not our safety. Thanks.
