Lawless Official Trailer

"NO, NOT THE STUBBLE! IT MAKES ME LOOK RAKISH!"

The new film from John Hillcoat (The Road) tells the tale of the Bondurant brothers, a family of Depression-era bootleggers in rural Virginia. Inspired by author Matt Bondurant’s family in his true story novel “The Wettest County in the World“, the loyalty of three brothers is put to the test against urban gangsters looking to move in on their business.

The film, which stars Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, and Guy Pearce (and Shia LaBeouf), opens August 31.

War Horse in a nutshell

The movie, based on a 1982 children’s book by Michael Morpurgo about the service of a military horse during World War 1, had been nominated in six categories.

Sh*t Getting Real

You’ve seen it, though you may not have noticed it. It’s known as the Michael Bay low angle spinning shot. The technique is used in all of his films. It usually means shit is about to get real.

Things in movies

Apparently, Bruce Willis takes one hour to get out of bed. Don’t you just love to find flaws in movies? Do you know of other examples? (via REDDIT)
